This month is Older Person’s Month! To celebrate, our Chain Reaction team has been hosting various events, such as ‘Painting for Fun’ and afternoon tea, to give the people they support a much-appreciated wellbeing boost. We are proud to be one of three partners of Chain Reaction. We work in a creative and person-centred way to support older people to live independently in the community. This includes one-to-one personalised support and connecting people to their community, to others, and to a network of natural support.

Today is the third annual Social Prescribing Link Worker Day! This year’s theme focuses on the role that Social Prescribing Link Workers play in creatively disrupting inequalities and powering-up integrated care.

Mental Health Concern is proud to lead Kind Mind Community, which offers free, recovery-focused courses and activities designed to help people manage their mental health and improve their wellbeing.

Following the celebration of Sergeant Tom Power, one of our Mental Health Concern volunteers, as part of the official Great North Thank You, we have been inspired to recognise more of the amazing people within our organisation who have also gone above and beyond during the pandemic.
