In response to the cost-of-living crisis and the prospect of many people having to choose between eating or heating their homes this winter, we’re taking collective action.

We’re hosting a call-to-action event on Friday 22 July, for key stakeholders from Newcastle statutory bodies, VCSEs, and the business sector to plan how we can work together support people in our community this winter.

Date: Friday 22 July
Time: 10.00am-12.00pm
Venue: ReCoCo, 1 Carliol Square, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 6UF

In our call-to-action event, we’ll be discussing how we can come together to provide community to support in Newcastle, to make sure nobody struggles alone.

We’ll be exploring how we can harness a similar response to the city-wide volunteer programme that many people supported during the pandemic. We will also consider how we can support the community services and assets that already do amazing work, so they can deliver even more support over winter.

If you’d like more information, or to get involved, please contact Beth Jones, Project Manager for Newcastle Community Mental Health Transformation, at beth.jones27@nhs.net
