Staff profiles

Sharan Gaughan
Community Services South Tyneside Lead
I am relatively new to the organisation when compared to most staff, having only been in my role for almost a year. However, during this period I have been able to positively influence the carer support service, having been given the freedom to explore new ways of working to further enhance the services of the carer support team. When I first joined the organisation, I felt part of the team almost immediately and was made to feel appreciated and valued.

Faye McClelland
Support Worker
As a support worker, my role can be both physically and mentally challenging, but this is what I love about it. I am always kept busy and my role is very varied. My reason for becoming support worker was to allow me to help others and I feel that I achieve this with the support of my colleagues and managers. My confidence has definitely grown since I joined the organisation and in the future I would like to train to be a nurse, as I see this a natural progression. I work very closely with the nursing team in Pinetree Lodge and I’m aware that the organisation have supported such training in the past.

Julie Merryweather
Central Services Admin Coordinator
I have been with the organisation for eight years, starting as an administrative assistant and working my way up. I have been supported in attending the relevant training courses, which enables me to further enhance my skill set. My confidence has grown immensely since starting with Concern Group; I believe this is due to the exposure that I have been given to others departments, and the varied work I have been allowed to get involved with. I feel that I have remained committed, not only because I gain great satisfaction from working for an organisation that provides such a valued service, but because of the friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
