About Haven Court

Haven Court is a purpose-built and innovatively-designed facility which provides integrated health and social care services for South Tyneside’s older residents and their carers and families.

The vision is for Haven Court to become a hub for the local community, providing person-centred care and support. Whether you need access to residential services, respite care, or simply want to meet in the café, the centre will provide a ‘haven’ for you.

We are also grateful to the following funding providers for supporting us:

  • Sir James Knott Trust
  • The Joicey Trust
  • Healthnet
  • ASDA
  • The Barbour Foundation

Our role at Haven Court

Mental Health Concern (MHC) is one of the partners of Haven Court, providing Activities and Volunteer Coordinators and a Care Navigator. Together with MHC volunteers and staff from Haven Court, we organise fundraising activities to provide social and recreational activities for our residents.

The Care Navigator provided by MHC provides free, confidential and impartial information, advice, and advocacy to Haven Court’s residents. Our aim is to enable the people we serve to remain independent, to improve their physical and mental health, and to reduce their reliance on health and social care services.

Access the services at Haven Court
